Calkifornia – Wildfires consumed about 68 acres resulting in the evacuation of about 100 homes in the Camarillo Heights and Grove Place areas of Somis on Wednesday.
The Ventura County Chapter is conducting disaster assessment. They will provide updates to the Disaster Operations Center later today.

California – A wildfire in Santa Cruz County burned hundreds of acres, threatened homes and prompted the evacuation of residents in the surrounding area on Sunday. The Santa Cruz Chapter deployed a Disaster Action Team (DAT), opened an evacuation center, provided food and water to affected-area residents and placed a shelter and an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) on stand-by.

California – A wildfire on Mount Whitney stranded campers yesterday. The Greater Los Angeles chapter opened a shelter and supported 50 overnight residents. The Ventura County chapter in Camarillo is on standby ready to support the current fires in the Santa Cruz area.
