Disaster Alert
Pennsylvania – An explosion in Luzerne County resulted in the destruction of three homes. Multiple injuries were reported. The Chapter deployed Disaster Action Team and provided canteen services and mental health assistance to residents in the affected area.

Disaster Alert
Pennsylvania– Severe Storms in Franklin County damaged buildings and blew off the roof of an apartment building yesterday. The Franklin County chapter opened a shelter and provided help to fifteen overnight residents. Disaster Mental Health (DMH) and Health Services personnel were present at the shelter. The chapter will continue to provide Disaster Assessment.

Disaster Alert
Pennsylvania – Severe weather in Monroe county resulted in damages in the surroundings areas yesterday. The Monroe County chapter staffed the county emergency operation center, provided water and food to emergency personnel and deployed a Disaster Action Team (DAT).

Disaster Alert
Pennsylvania- Mayor Joe Sinnott declared a disaster emergency yesterday because of flooding caused by heavy rains in the City of Erie. The flooding closed many streets and left many homes and businesses damaged. The Greater Erie County Chapter opened a shelter and provided food and water to the affected victims. Disaster Assessment will be completed today and clean up kits will be provided if needed.

Disaster Alert
Pennsylvania- Flash flooding and severe weather in Alleghany, Washington, Fayette, Greene, Westmoreland and Beaver counties yesterday caused power outages, road closures and home damages. Chapters sent out Disaster Assessment Teams (DAT) to the affected areas.

Pennsylvania – A possible tornado in Lancaster County caused the destruction of homes and injured several people on Sunday. The Susquehanna Valley Red Cross chapter deployed a Disaster Action Team and opened a service center.

Pennsylvania - A propane spill in Indiana County caused the evacuation of dozens of local area residents on Sunday afternoon. The Chapter opened a shelter for several of the evacuees.

Disaster Alert
Winter Storms: From Georgia to New York A large winter storm with snow and winds blanketed the east coast and caused some power outages and poor road conditions.
Chapters along the east coast are in touch with local authorities to assess the need for shelters, warming centers, and food distribution.
