Arizona – Severely cold weather caused utility pipes to burst and prompted the evacuations of residents in Pima, Pinal and Cochise Counties on Thursday.

Disaster Action Team members from the Southern Arizona Chapter setup two shelters and provided material support to a warming center for residents affected by the weather.

The Grand Canyon Chapter deployed Disaster Action Team members and provided material support to shelter residents.

Disaster Alert

Arizona – Excessive rainfall caused flooding that continued to affect the residents in Coconino County on Thursday.

The Grand Canyon Chapter opened a shelter for residents within the affected area.


Disaster Alert: Wildfires in Arizona

Disaster Alert

Arizona – A wildfire continues burning over 773 acres. Over 700 residents are mandated to evacuate the area. The Grand Canyon chapter has opened a shelter and provided food and water for the affected residents.


Disaster Alert: Arizona Transportation Incident

Disaster Alert

Arizona - On Friday, a bus crashed while carrying tourists to the Grand Canyon.  Mental Health volunteers were deployed to hospitals in both Arizona and Nevada to provide assistance to the victims.
