October is Fire Prevention Month so we though we’d show you exactly how many fires we responded to this year and give you some tips for preventing a fire in your own home.
This map illustrates the 63,111 home fires your American Red Cross chapters responded to in our Fiscal Year 2009. We’ve broken down the data by chapter, and it’s really quite stunning.
Thank you all for supporting your local chapters as they arrive on the scene, often in the middle of the night, to these silent events that affect thousands of families each year.
