Disaster Alert
Several wildfires consumed hundreds of acres, damaged homes and caused the evacuation of residents in Hendry, Indian River, and Putnam Counties on Saturday. The Greater Palm Beach Chapter deployed a Disaster Action Team (DAT), opened a shelter and provided Mass Care to victims and emergency workers. The North Treasure Coast Chapter deployed an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) and provided snack and meal services. The Northeast Florida Chapter opened a shelter for residents in the affected area.
