Virginia - A winter storm dropped over a foot of snow, caused blizzard conditions and left over 170,000 customers without powers in parts of the state yesterday.
Some Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) were open and the Governor declared a state of emergency.
The Central Virginia Chapter opened 5 shelters and supported one.
The Lowden County EOC was staffed by the chapter.
