11/08/12 – The American Red Cross received a generous donation of 5,000 meals from Sodexo for Staten Islanders hard hit by Hurricane Sandy. Vice President of Operations, Tony Mastellone, and 11 members of Sodexo’s Manhattan staff delivered nutritious boxed lunches packed with sandwiches, fruit, granola bars and water to residents and homeless shelters in the New Brighton and Stapleton neighborhoods and emergency stations on Father Capodanno Boulevard and Guyon Avenue. “The Sodexo team was honored to play a part in assisting our neighbors; as a company we are committed to bringing value to the communities we serve, especially in times of need. You could say it was just another day at Sodexo, providing meals and nourishment to those who need it, but it wasn’t; we will be forever blessed with the smiles, handshakes and hugs we received in return,” said Mastellone.
