The American Red Cross is performing community outreach to be able to touch those communities that have been affected the most by Super Storm Sandy. The Red Cross in partnership with La Casa de Don Pedro is identifying community needs and has provided two trucks of supplies to one of La Casa de Don Pedro’s sites. The Red Cross has delivered water, diapers, baby formulas, shovels, rakes, cleanup kits, heater meals, blankets, and children’s games.
La Casa de Don Pedro will be distributing these goods to the families they serve and they have pre-identified the families which have a greater needs prior to distribution. Thanks to partnerships like these the American Red Cross is able to identify where the need is greatest and supply their demand.
