Texas – A fire at a 136-unit apartment complex in Harris County destroyed dozens of homes, damaged others and caused the evacuation of scores of residents on Saturday.

The Greater Houston Area Chapter deployed Disaster Action Team, opened a shelter, staffed local Emergency Operations Center, dispatched an Emergency Response Vehicle, provided Mass Care and conducted bulk distribution to disaster victims. The shelters closed hours later.
