Disaster Alert
Pennsylvania– Severe Storms in Franklin County damaged buildings and blew off the roof of an apartment building yesterday. The Franklin County chapter opened a shelter and provided help to fifteen overnight residents. Disaster Mental Health (DMH) and Health Services personnel were present at the shelter. The chapter will continue to provide Disaster Assessment.

Disaster Alert
Washington – Over 500 people evacuated the Lake Chelan and Union Valley area yesterday due to a 600 acre forest fire. The Inland Northwest chapter opened a shelter and placed emergency response vehicles (ERV) on standby. The Apple Valley chapter also are on standby.

Disaster Alert
Oregon – A wildfire is burning in Douglas County near Glide, OR. Authorities have notified residents to be ready to evacuate if necessary. The Oregon Pacific chapter have placed two shelters on standby.

Disaster Alert
Alaska – A river flooded its banks and washed out some roads in Seward rendering homes in the area inaccessible. The Alaska chapter opened and provided a shelter for 20-50 affected residents. The chapter deployed vehicles and a trailer with supplies for affected residents.

Pennsylvania – Severe weather in Monroe county resulted in damages in the surroundings areas yesterday. The Monroe County chapter staffed the county emergency operation center, provided water and food to emergency personnel and deployed a Disaster Action Team (DAT).

Disaster Alert
Florida – A tornado that touched down in Volusia County destroyed several homes, affected over a hundred others and left hundreds of county residents without power on Friday. The chapters deployed Disaster Action Team (DAT), staffed the county emergency operation center and placed a shelter on standby. Two dispatched Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) provided food, water and clean-up kits to the residents of the affected areas.

North Carolina – A blown transformer at a sub station caused power loss for over a thousand local residents in Wayne County on Saturday. The Frederick E Turnage chapter opened a relief shelter for residents in the affected area.

Oklahoma – A single-engine plane crashed in Oklahoma county on Saturday. The Central Oklahoma chapter placed Disaster Mental Health (DMH) on standby and provided food and water to emergency responders and law enforcement personnel.

Arizona – Powerful thunderstorms downed power lines and left hundreds of Maricopa County residents without power and air conditioning since Tuesday. Temperatures rose in the triple-digits range. Chapters opened shelters and a cooling center. Water and food were provided to residents in the affected area.
