American Red Cross Opens Center to Assist Families Evacuated From the Crash Site Area

Buffalo, N.Y., February 14, 2009 - The American Red Cross, Greater Buffalo Chapter will open an assistance center for families evacuated from the restricted area surrounding the crash site of Continental Flight 3407.

The Center will be located at the Clarence Senior Center, 4600 Thompson Road, Clarence. It will be open Sunday, February 15 and Monday, February 16 from 12PM until 6PM. To receive services, an adult member of the family, age 18 or older, is invited to come during these times with photo identification listing their current address.

As the full impact of this incident becomes evident over the next hours and days, Red Cross workers will stay with this community as the grieving and healing process continues.
