F/A-18 Plane Crash – December 2008

The American Red Cross San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter has responded to the devastating plane crash that occurred in a University City neighborhood at 11:58 a.m. on Monday.
One canteen vehicle has been deployed to the affected area in order to provide assistance to those in need. Hydration for first responders and personnel is also available, and the Red Cross has opened a temporary evacuation point at the Nobel Recreation Center located at 8810 Judicial Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
The Red Cross will continue to have the temporary evacuation point open as needed. Residents will be provided a safe place to stay, drinks and meals, and basic health services at this location. Those who would like to assist can do so by making monetary donations to the San Diego/Imperial Counties Red Cross. The Red Cross is not able to accept individual donations of goods at this time. The Red Cross will continue to monitor the situation and respond as needed.
